Partner transparency & referral tracking

When you click a broker link on this site, we record two informational events:

• Directory view — you opened a broker’s public website from our broker directory.
• Contact intent — you clicked the “Contact broker” button on a compatibility result. This is our proxy for a completed user contact action.

Each event is tagged with a randomly generated smc_lead_id, UTM parameters and a placement label. The same smc_lead_id is reused within a browser session per broker so a directory view and a later contact intent can be reconciled into one referral.

• No name, email, phone or address from the calculator flow.
• No raw IP address — IPs are hashed with a server-side salt.
• No cross-site advertising identifiers.
• No information about whether a mortgage was actually approved by the broker or lender.

Verified partners can receive aggregated, reconciled reports containing:

• Counts of directory views and contact-intent events.
• The originating smc_lead_id so partners can match against inbound enquiries they actually received.
• Placement, campaign and country (coarse, from request headers).

We do not share user-identifying data. Whether a referred user ultimately becomes a client is reported by the partner if they choose to share it, never inferred by us.

Spain Mortgage Calculator may receive compensation from selected broker partners if a user chooses to contact them — for example a fixed listing fee, a per-qualified-lead fee, or a hybrid. The commercial relationship and fee model are disclosed on each partner’s listing where applicable.

Commercial relationships may affect sponsored visibility placement but never compatibility assessment logic. Compatibility scoring is rule-based, deterministic and identical for sponsored and non-sponsored listings.

Referral events are retained for up to 24 months for reconciliation, fraud detection and aggregate reporting, then deleted or further aggregated. Partner inquiries are retained for as long as the partner relationship is active.
