Cookie Policy

Last updated: May 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Spain Mortgage Calculator (the “Platform”), a product of AI Risk Intelligence AS, uses cookies and similar technologies such as local storage. It should be read together with our Privacy & cookies notice and our Terms of Use.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. Similar technologies — such as localStorage and sessionStorage — store data directly in your browser. We use “cookies” throughout this policy to refer to all such technologies.

2. Categories of cookies we use

Strictly necessary

Required for the Platform to function. These cannot be switched off. They include local storage entries that remember your progress in the mortgage readiness check so you can resume where you left off, and entries that record your cookie consent choices.

Functional

Used to remember preferences such as language, region, or last calculator inputs, so the experience feels consistent across visits.

Analytics

Help us understand how visitors use the Platform in aggregate — for example which pages are most viewed and where users drop off in the readiness flow. Analytics data is collected in an aggregated and, as far as reasonably possible, pseudonymised form.

Referral measurement

When you click through to a third-party broker from our directory, a minimal identifier may be recorded so we can measure outbound clicks and, where applicable, account for referral compensation. This does not share your readiness answers with the broker.

3. We do not use advertising cookies

The Platform does not run third-party advertising networks and does not set cookies for behavioural advertising or cross-site ad targeting.

4. Third-party cookies

Some functionality may be provided by third parties (for example analytics or hosting). These providers may set their own cookies subject to their own policies. We aim to keep third-party cookies to the minimum needed to operate the Platform.

5. How long cookies last

  • Session cookies — deleted automatically when you close your browser.
  • Persistent cookies and local storage — remain until they expire or until you clear them. Readiness progress is stored on your device and remains until you clear it or reset the check.

6. Managing your cookies

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies, delete existing cookies, or be notified when a cookie is set. Clearing browser storage will also remove your saved readiness progress.

You can also clear locally stored data for this site directly from your browser’s site settings (look for “Cookies and site data” or equivalent).

7. Consent

Strictly necessary cookies are set on the basis of legitimate interest, as the Platform cannot function without them. Functional, analytics and referral measurement cookies that are not strictly necessary are used only where permitted by applicable law and, where required, with your consent. You can withdraw consent at any time by adjusting your browser settings.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Platform or to legal requirements. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.

9. Contact
