How brokers are ranked
Spain Mortgage Calculator is an independent information and compatibility platform. We do not recommend a single “best” broker. Instead, we rank brokers by how compatible their stated experience is with your profile, and we clearly separate paid visibility from organic compatibility.
Compatibility factors we consider
Ranking is the output of informational, profile-based compatibility indicators using the following factors. This is not a regulated financial suitability assessment.
Profile compatibility
How closely the broker's stated experience matches your nationality, residency, employment type and complexity factors.
Language support
Whether the broker operates in your preferred language for the mortgage process.
Residency expertise
Demonstrated experience with non-resident or resident files in Spain.
Regional focus
Coverage of the autonomous community or coast where you intend to buy.
Specialization
Self-employed, company-owner, retiree, remote-worker or luxury experience where it matches your profile.
Complexity handling
Track record handling files of similar complexity (multi-jurisdiction income, crypto-sourced wealth, ownership structures, etc.).
Completeness of profile
How fully the broker has filled in verifiable profile information.
Verified information
Whether key items (regulator, fee model, year founded) have been independently confirmed.
Responsiveness
Reported average response time for lead enquiries.
User engagement signals
Aggregate, anonymous engagement signals such as which broker cards users find useful.
Sponsored visibility
Some brokers may pay for additional visibility among compatible results. Sponsored placements are always clearly labelled with a “Sponsored” tag and are visually separated from organic compatibility listings. A sponsored broker is never shown to a user whose profile is not compatible with them.
Commercial relationships may influence visibility placement, but do not automatically make a broker compatible with a user profile.

Independent verification
Users must independently verify each broker’s regulatory status (for example, Banco de España-registered mortgage intermediary status), fees, scope of service and applicable mortgage conditions directly with the broker and lender before engaging.
